Life in Brzeźno and the coast
Brzeźno is Gdańsk's seaside district — sandy beach, wooden pier and Baltic wind. You live here with the window open onto the sea and the beach right around the corner, not across town.
It works best in summer — family holidays, weekends with kids, longer stays from June through September. Brzeźno Park, the seaside promenade and lifeguard-supervised beaches are a few minutes' walk from most of our apartments.
The centre of Gdańsk is 25–35 minutes by tram (lines 3, 5, 8), and Sopot is reachable by bike along the seaside cycle path. In winter the district slows visibly down — and the quiet and space become its main draw.

Can I reach the Old Town from Brzeźno in the evening?
Yes — trams 3, 5 and 8 run until around 11 pm, and a Bolt or Uber back from the centre takes 15–25 minutes depending on traffic. Each StayHere listing in Brzeźno notes the nearest tram stop and an indicative travel time.
When should I book an apartment in Brzeźno?
July and August are by far the busiest — book 2–3 months ahead. June and September are a great alternative with good weather and lower prices. May and October can be wonderful for walks on an emptier beach.
Does Brzeźno beach have lifeguards and facilities?
Yes. In summer (typically late June through late August) there are supervised swimming areas, showers, toilets and food kiosks along the promenade. Check the city website for current supervised-section opening hours.
Can I walk from Brzeźno to Sopot?
It's about 8 km along the beach — feasible but a long walk. Most guests cycle the route (Mevo rentals or your own bike) in 30–40 minutes. For shorter on-foot trips, Jelitkowo is about 4 km along the beach.
Is winter worth booking in Brzeźno?
Yes, if you value calm and space. The beach in winter can be empty and dramatic — Baltic waves, sharp wind, short walks. A Brzeźno apartment in winter is a different kind of break from summer, but well worth considering.
