Krakowiec-Górki Zachodnie is a district on the cape between the Vistula Śmiała and the Gulf of Gdańsk — an extension of the Stogi peninsula. Its draw is the beach at the Vistula mouth, one of the least crowded in all of Gdańsk, and proximity to the Mewia Łacha Bird Reserve.
For travellers it's a niche but rewarding pick: if you're after wild seaside and time with nature instead of a typical city beach, here you'll find calm, gulls overhead and seals in the water (visible seasonally on the sandbank).
Transport: buses from the centre can be rare — by car the commute is 20–25 minutes, without a car expect 50 minutes with transfers. A pick for the patient.

Is Górki Zachodnie beach really as empty as they say?
Yes — especially outside weekends in July and August. Access is inconvenient, so crowds are far smaller than in Brzeźno or Sopot.
Can you really see seals?
Seasonally, at the Mewia Łacha sandbank on the other side of the Vistula Śmiała. Best chances from spring to autumn, ideally with binoculars. One of the few addresses in Poland where grey seals appear regularly.
Can you reach Górki Zachodnie without a car?
You can, but it requires a bus and a transfer and quite a bit of time (45–60 minutes from the centre). By bike along the seaside path it's about 30 minutes from Brzeźno — a much better option in season.
