Motława is the waterfront strip right next to the Old Town — apartments in restored granaries on Granary Island, townhouses along Long Bridge promenade, and modern developments on Ołowianka. Everything you like about the Old Town is five minutes away on foot, with the river view added in.
It's the most photogenic part of the city and the natural pick for a romantic stay, honeymoon or a short city break with good dinners. After dark the embankment is beautifully lit, and tour boats on the Motława depart right next to the Crane.
In high season the promenade can be busy and some river-facing apartments hear morning tour-boat traffic. If you want maximum quiet, consider Oliwa or Wrzeszcz — a 10–15 minute SKM ride from the centre.
